At Tesla's Investor Day, the company announced that their next car model will cost 50 percent less to manufacture than today's Model 3.
A new Model 3 costs just over $40,000 to buy. The price of the next generation vehicle could therefore be as low as a little more than $20,000.
It's not certain that the entire cost reduction will be reflected in the price tag, but it will definitely be considerably cheaper.
Tesla has not yet revealed what the car model will look like. They just call it "Next Generation."

This is a development that we at Warp News pointed out already three years ago.
Back then, electric cars were clearly more expensive to buy than gasoline cars, and very few believed that it would change. Most people still don't understand that.
But Tesla's big price cut earlier this year, the cost reduction of the Model 3, and the future cost reduction of the next generation Tesla show that we were right.
