π New test: 81 miles increased range for electric cars
15 of the cars managed over 311 miles (500 km), compared to only five three years ago. Tesla Model S won with 417 miles (672 km).

The Norwegian NAF and Motor.no have conducted the world's largest range test with 32 electric cars, to see how far the cars can go on a single charge, reports Allt om Elbil.
A Tesla has been the winner since 2021, and did so again this year. The Tesla Model S Plaid went 417 miles (672 km). In second place was the Polestar 2 with just over 372 miles (600 km), followed by the Nio ET7 with just under 366 miles (590 km).
On average, the range of the electric cars has increased by 81 miles (130 km) since the first test in 2020.
Now, 15 of the cars managed over 311 miles (500 km), compared to only five three years ago.
The Xpeng P7 and Xpeng G9 saw the greatest improvement. They went 14% and 11% farther, respectively, both achieving 366 miles (588 km).
"The technical progress is rapid! We expect this to continue and in the next test we will have cars with a range of over 800 km (497 miles)," says the test leader.
