๐ค Talk on AI for a Stockholm School of Economics network
Warning! Now I'm going to brag again about a Warp Premium Supporter.
Mattias Hansson boasts an impressive resume. Currently, he is the CEO of the space company, ISAAC, which he runs alongside Christer Fuglesang (also a Premium Supporter) and Cecilia Hertz.
He is also the host of P4 Country on Swedish Public Radio, where he plays country songs (including at least one Dolly Parton song every hour) and talks country music with a prominent guest. Country music is really taking the world by storm now.
Previously, he served as CEO and co-founder of the ABBA The Museum, CEO of Hyper Island, and only 22 years old, he received an offer from legendary business leader, Jan Stenbeck, to develop the magazine Z. Later, he also ran Torget, one of the hot internet sites in the 90s.
He also attended the Stockholm School of Economics and has recently initiated an alumni network there. They had their inaugural meeting recently, and I had the honor of being the opening speaker.
I talked about how I became an angry optimist, why I have peaked both in career and ideas, and how AI bots with a personality will become a big part of companies' brands.
(If you want to book me as a speaker, read more here.)
Book release
If you live in Sweden you are most welcome to attend the release of my new AI book: The Centaur's Edge.
December 5 at The Park (Stockholm)
More info and RSVP here.
The event is in Swedish.
No newsletter Thursday
You did not get a Premium Supporter newsletter on Thursday. For the Swedish readers, I sent out an invite to the book release. Since most of you don't live in Sweden I didn't want to send a newsletter just about that.

๐ฎ The naive Tony Seba has been more right than anyone else (so listen to what he says now)
Humanity is facing its greatest change ever, according to Tony Seba. Some call him a naive, foolish optimist, but Seba has repeatedly been proven right and his critics wrong. A tip is to listen to him this time.
Fact-based optimistic news of the week
๐ China's CO2 emissions set to decline in 2024 amid low-carbon energy surge
If the current pace of low-carbon energy expansion continues or accelerates, China could see a sustained period of emission reduction.
๐ Desalinates 49,000 liters of water daily, powered by ocean waves
Wave energy propels a new desalination system by Oneka Technologies. The system can filter 49,000 liters of water daily, powered solely by ocean waves.
๐ Vineyards using emissions and residues from winemaking for making new products
The technique can potentially reduce greenhouse gas emissions from wineries by at least 30 percent. Byproducts like grape skins could offer alternatives to antibiotics, addressing a growing resistance problem.
๐ณ Ecuador's forests are making a comeback โ and AI helps track the health of the forest
Scientists have found that within the last 25 years, a cornucopia of species, from the smallest insect to the top vertebrates, have made a comeback in areas previously cleared for agriculture.
๐ญ First commercial carbon capture plant in the U.S. inaugurated
The plant removes carbon from the atmosphere. This captured CO2 is then sealed in concrete, preventing it from contributing to global warming.
