🌦️ In Seattle with the Prince Couple’s Foundation
Last week I was in Seattle, invited by the Swedish Prince Couple’s Foundation. When prince Carl Philip and princess Sophia got married, they started the foundation, which focuses on two areas: online safety and dyslexia.
Microsoft is a partner of the foundation, and together they’ve built a map in Minecraft Education – Dexi Ville – designed to help children learn to read.
The delegation spent a day at Microsoft and half a day at the University of Washington with a group of researchers.
I also took the opportunity to conduct some interviews for my book and for Warp News. Among others, I met with Nobel Prize winner in chemistry, David Baker. He designs proteins using computers and AI.

👩🏫 Estonia first in the world to integrate ChatGPT into the school system
OpenAI is collaborating with Estonia's government to provide all high school students and teachers access to ChatGPT Edu starting September 2025. Estonia already ranks among the top 15 countries globally for ChatGPT usage with one active ChatGPT account for every four citizens.
🔭 New space telescope from NASA will map the entire sky
The SPHEREx mission has successfully launched and will map the entire celestial sky in 102 different wavelengths. The telescope will observe hundreds of millions of galaxies and collect data that can help researchers understand the first moments of the universe.
🐁 Scientists have created woolly mice on the path to mammoth's return
Scientists at the biotech company Colossal Biosciences have created genetically modified mice with thick, woolly fur as a step toward recreating woolly mammoths. The company plans to "de-extinct" the mammoth with the goal of birthing the first calf before the end of 2028.

Progress has been unevenly distributed globally. Europe experienced a 68% reduction in mortality while Africa only decreased by 3%. WHO advocates several community-based actions to prevent drowning.
