π‘ Optimistic news from May
May brought 22 optimistic news and seven premium articles. Several of them focused on democracy, coinciding with this year's Copenhagen Democracy Summit.
A heartening piece of news was that globally, democracy enjoys record support, with 85 percent of all people in favor. However, many are dissatisfied with how democracy functions in their country, which made me ponder that democracy must evolve.
In Copenhagen, I met Leopoldo LΓ³pez, who is building a global alliance of democracy defenders, and witnessed the Georgian startup Vinici (which I had the honor of mentoring) win an award.
But as usual, there have been many other great things happening. Indiwa's forests are growing, polio is on its last legs, Earth has reached "peak pollution," and Waymo's self-driving taxis are making 50,000 trips a week.
You can find all the news and articles in the monthly summary. Please share it with friends and acquaintances. It will brighten their day and is a great way for Warp News to gain more readers.
