The poaching of rhino has almost completely stopped in Kenya, thanks to a conscious investment in new technology.

In 2019, only four rhinos were lost, and this is very much thanks to new, high-tech equipment, reports Ekot .
Some of the guards have the help of dark cameras.
"Now you can see the animals here," he says, pointing to a screen. "You can see the jackals, hyenas, elephants, and that's how we can see when the poachers come. Then we can send our men out on the ground to make an arrest," says park ranger David Aruasa.
With the help of an infrared camera, they have seized 300 poachers.
Time and again now around the world, we see how active efforts are stopping extinction and many species are making a comeback. Even more efforts need to be made, but we have learned how to correct the mistakes we have made.
